Fried Halloumi with Chimichurri
Chimichurri is a Argentinian sauce which isn't cooked, but is flavoured with raw herbs and garlic. The balance of flavors between chimichurri sauce, tomatoes and rich grilled Halloumi cheese is absolutely amazing. Let’s try this recipe!
Ingredients
• Cherry Tomato
• Rosalie’s Halloumi
• Chimicurri
- ¼ cup finely chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp chilli flakes
- 3-4 garlic cloves finely chopped
- 1 red pepper, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp oregano
- ½ cup vinegar
- ¾ cup extra-virgin olive oil
Instructions
1. Combine parsley, chilli flakes, garlic, red pepper, oregano. Using a fork, whisk in vinegar and extra-virgin olive oil. Set a side, reserve as sauce.
2. Cut the halloumi into two.
3. Preheat the pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add olive oil, place the halloumi on the pan. Flip each slice after about 3 minutes, grill on the other side then remove from the pan.
4. Place the grilled halloumi on a plate. Spoon reserved chimichurri over the grilled halloumi, add fried cherry tomato. Enjoy!
